Job Description:
Ready to put your skills to work on Technical or Engineering projects? Are you great with people and have willingness to work hard to get the job done? Parsons has an opening for a Technical Writer at the Blossom Point Tracking Facility (BPTF) in Welcome, MD. Role Candidates will provide technical writing support and develop various technical and program/project management artifacts and documents working directly with engineers and cybersecurity professionals. Artifacts may include standard operating procedures and process documentation. Candidates may also facilitate technical meetings and record meeting minutes, distributing those minutes and tracking action items post-event. Position Responsibilities Provide technical documentation services to the Station Manager, Blossom Point Engineering Team, Systems Engineer, RF Technical Team, Digital Team, and IT Team. Adhere and incorporate standards, templates, policies and procedures established by the Naval Research Laboratory, U.S. Navy and the Department of Defense. Develop, augment and update various artifacts to include Interface Configuration documents, Program /Project documents, Detailed Business Proposals, Operations Concepts, Information Security documents, etc. Assist the Program Manager in developing artifacts and documentation of management processes. Required Qualifications and Skills Minimum Secret security clearance AS degree with a minimum five (5) years of related professional experience Use of MS Office, MS Project, and MS Visio Ability to create technical documentation such as user guides, technical guides, templates, training materials, etc. Superior writing and editing skills, as displayed across varied forms and formats in a Federal project environment Skilled at developing and/or managing technical documentation review process steps Experience researching tools, procedures, and technical configurations Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and oral Background in writing Information Security policies and/or Network procedures Desired Qualifications and Skills BS degree in a related field of study Ability to understand and document technical systems Ability to communicate effectively in oral, graphical, as well as written forms Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance. The position requires a COVID vaccination or an approved accommodation/exemption for a disability/medical condition or religious belief.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
