Parsons is now hiring a Project Manager (PM) to support the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) and Space Development Agency (SDA) at the Blossom Point Tracking Facility (BPTF) in Welcome, MD. In this role you will be responsible for the scope development, scope management and performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives. Candidates plan and define program goals and devise methods to accomplish them; develop in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms and corporate policies. PMs must be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team oriented environments that have exceptional communication, analytical and organizational skills. Responsibilities Gather and analyze technical requirements and develop technical solutions. Assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Process Flows, and documents relating to policy and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing. Experience in preparing correspondence, written reports, presentations for the Government and in briefing tenants and senior personnel. Scheduling and coordination of project interactions among stakeholders. Ability to manage interdisciplinary teams of professionals. Establishes the program requirements for all areas of the project and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria. Works with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project. Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans. Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones and any conditions which would affect project cost or schedule. Establishes weekly meeting to review project status and formulate action items. Required Qualifications Minimum active DoD Secret security clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI w/Ci Poly Bachelor's degree in related technical/business field of study No less than ten (10) years of project management experience with at least five (5) years in a lower level managerial/leadership role Broad general technical and business background Must have the ability to manage projects, interface with clients and enjoy being hands on technically in the project. Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications Must be proficient in MS Office Suite, Project, and Visio Comfortable in briefing and communicating with senior government managers and with consultant SMEs Desired Qualifications and Skills PMP Certification Ability to develop plans in Microsoft Project and track key cost, schedule, and performance parameters Department of Defense (DoD) and preferably Navy work experience Knowledge of satellite ground systems to include RF, crypto equipment and networks Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Business Project ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
